Sounds like Cuomo is potentially another Ken Harrison, Portland General Electric, who may be willing to make a mid-night deal with Entergy to make Indian Point a historical topic, as did Harrison at Trojan.  Political maneuvering is always something that could occur behind the scenes.  So keep you eyes and ears open for future topic along this line.  In todays environment controversial nuclear plants are always at risk from the politicians, regardless of party or affiliation.  Look at Kewaunee, San Onofre, and CR3.  It is easier to close it then fix it or fight for it.

I think it is more about the $$$ than ease of closure.  Indian point has been a big $$ maker for Entergy.  I doubt they will close it without a fight unless it has all of a sudden gone unprofitable.
