Join us once again at the WM2015 Conference to be held March 15 – 19, 2015 at the Phoenix Convention Center, in Phoenix, AZ.

WM2015 looks to be another exceptional technical conference on the safe management and disposition of radioactive waste and radioactive materials. Below you’ll find additional WM2015 Conference information which highlights some of the signature events.

Take advantage of the lowest rate possible by registering for the conference prior to December 31, 2014. Registration can be completed online by logging into their website,

Leading off the conference on Monday morning they will feature a session on the world-wide perspective of the field of radioactive waste management. Their Plenary speakers will include James N. Taylor, General Manager of AECOM/URS Global Management and Operations Services, Mark Whitney, Acting Assistant Secretary for DOE EM, and a representative from our WM2015 featured nation, France.

Throughout the week there will be special sessions and activities dedicated to France. In addition, the focus of several other sessions will feature nuclear utilities, D&D and US DOE sites of Savannah River Site (SRS), Nevada National Security Site (NNSS) and the Portsmouth Paducah /Project Office (PPPO).

The Exhibit hall closes on Wednesday, but the fun continues. Thursday afternoon there is an innovative panel session, “International Strategic and Operational Management of Used Nuclear Fuel”.  The panel will focus upon the strategic and operational management and also address operational issues impacting the management of used nuclear fuel such as fuel pool management, storage cask design and storage pad management. A networking reception will immediately follow the session conclusion.

Friday the Nuclear Regulatory Commission will be holding a public meeting to discuss: 10 CFR Part 61 Rulemaking and Implementation of the Concentration Averaging and Encapsulation Branch Technical Position.  Additional meeting information is posted on the website under the WM2015 Schedule of Events tab.

Come visit us in the Exhibit Hall where hundreds of exhibitors will share information on their latest waste management industry developments, technologies and programs. Be sure to stop by WM's featured nation, France, located inside the hall at the French Pavilion. I'm told that there is still booth space and sponsorship opportunities available. You can contact WM at for more information. New this year: the Exhibit Hall now opens later.  We east-coasters can really sleep in this year.

This year they are returning to the internationally recognized Heard Museum for our Wednesday night networking event.
