Illinois Legislative Panel Passes Bill to Keep Nuclear Plants On Line

The Illinois General Assembly’s House Energy Committee has passed, by a vote of 9 to 1, the Future Energy Jobs Bill. The bill covers a number of energy issues, most notably its provisions assigning a social value to two of the state’s nuclear energy facilities for the economic and environmental benefits they provide.
