If your same argumentative and defensive attitude that is on display here came across in an interview there's no way you would get hired in US nuclear. Wasting your time and a utility's time, in my opinion.

And, unfortunately, any hiring manager who browses this site (and many do, even if they don't post!) will now be looking out for an applicant who fits the quite detailed description provided in this thread... in order to rule them out. A perceived sense of entitlement seems to be one of the biggest chance-killers for a new job or promotion.

I'm sorry if I came across as argumentative and defensive to some of you, I rather tried to be honest and open-minded.

I certainly am an individual that is convinced by argument, and not by emotion. That's the scientist in me.

As for the hiring managers possibly reading this: I certainly realize I may be easily identified (it's a small world in nuclear, after all), but again: I have honest intent, I have nothing to hide. I'm a nuclear professional working hard for the benefit of the plant. What more can I say?
