Georgia Power Seeks Approval to Complete Vogtle 3 and 4

Georgia Power today filed a recommendation to the Georgia Public Service Commission to complete construction of Vogtle 3 and 4, the two Westinghouse AP1000 reactors. The company said its recommendation is based on a “comprehensive schedule, cost-to-complete and cancellation assessment,” and represents the “most economic choice for customers” that preserves the benefits of carbon-free, baseload generation.
