Is this guy clueless? Did he fail geography? Has he heard of Robinson, Summer, Vogtle, McGuire, Catawba, & Oconee? Does he realize that a hurricane heading towards the north Atlantic and another storm heading to the south Caribbean are no where near the Carolinas? And therefore NOT ON THE HEELS of Florence. It's idiots like this that give journalists a bad name.

C'mon, what difference does a thousand miles make when you are trying to scare somebody?

What are you guys talking about? Jim is very Pro-Nuclear and isn’t trying to scare anybody. His article is based on Nuclear being the only energy source unaffected by extreme weather, by design. Basically what he is saying is even though there are other hurricanes brewing in the Atlantic as we speak, as far as it goes with Nuclear Power Plants being safe during hurricanes...bring it on.

Why people can’t understand the difference between “storm surge” and “EPIC tsunami” now that Fukushima happened isn’t Commercial Nuclear Power’s fault.
