Electricity generated from nuclear energy, which once was considered by many "as too cheap to meter" (although it was not the intent of the phrase) has become too expensive to use. Mismanagement created problems, some real & some potential, that not only made it too expensive to operate the power plants, but too expensive to build new ones. We have learned from the mistakes, but the masses have no confidence. Nuclear power has become relatively environmental friendly, but the fear of a catastrophe outweighs the reality of slow poisoning and gradual climate changes. The answer my friend is blowing in the wind. The times they are achangin'.

Are the regulated states the ones with the lowest electric rates? Was deregulation suppose to lower electric rates? Have we been fooled again? (17 more question to follow. Stay tuned)

Regulated states do not necessarily have the lowest rates. They have the most stable rates

Well they put out to the masses that deregulation was supposed to increase competition and lower prices and make service better.  But they told the SROs the real truth at the secret squirrel SRO meetings.
