Article spends no effort to explain delivery of the low energy x-rays to the infected lungs, and not being attenuated prior to reaching the intended target depth.  So the article covers no new ground.  Sorry.  We know that UV kills the airborne and surface virus.  UV is just the next slightly longer wavelength on the electromagnetic spectrum. We'll ignore the ionizing/non-ionizing aspect for the moment.  If there was a medical physicist involved in the article, it would have been clearer.

The virus is .1 um wide. The encapsulating spit might make it .4 um wide.  Hell of a moderator!
