House appropriators request more details on US uranium reserve
The US House Committee on Appropriations has denied a funding request from the US Department of Energy for fiscal 2021 for establishing a uranium stockpile. The committee requested further information from the department on the justification for the reserve and how it will be implemented.

Yea, though I walk through the boundaries of containment, I shall fear no dose, for my meters are with me.  My counters, air sample filters, and smears, they comfort me.

Sounds like DOE didn't get the proper paperwork in to justify the reserve, or what's really a change in suppliers.  Adding in some domestic suppliers into the equation is smart business.  The article posted here last September discussed the need to have some US ownership, rather than largely French production in this country.
