One of the first women to qualify on submarines Kayla Barron recently graduated with the Artemis astronauts class with a masters in nuclear engineering. Coincidence? I think not. One of the first women to set foot on the moon (or Mars) may be a Submariner.

Meet the 13 astronauts who could be the first humans on Mars

Kayla Barron, a U.S. Navy lieutenant, is originally from Richland, Washington. She graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy with a bachelor’s degree in systems engineering. A Gates Cambridge Scholar, Barron earned a master’s degree in nuclear engineering from the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom. As a submarine warfare officer, Barron served aboard the USS Maine (SSBN 741), completing three strategic deterrent patrols. She came to NASA from the U.S. Naval Academy, where she was serving as the flag aide to the superintendent.

I think a nuclear plant on the moon is a great idea as long as we all get to vote on who gets sent there to run it.

I have a few suggestions...
"I won't eat anything that has intelligent life, but I'd gladly eat a network executive or a politician."

                                  -Marty Feldman

"Politics is supposed to be the second-oldest profession. I have come to understand that it bears a very close resemblance to the first."
                                  -Ronald Reagan

I have never made but one prayer to God, a very short one: 'O Lord, make my enemies ridiculous.' And God granted it.

                                  - Voltaire
