The Department of Energy has concluded the application period for a private-sector partnership to construct and operate a used nuclear fuel recycling facility at the Idaho National Laboratory. Evaluators will now review proposals to convert 3,400 unused fuel elements into high-assay low-enriched uranium. The selected partner will manage the facility lifecycle at the Idaho Nuclear Technology and Engineering Center to support the domestic supply chain for advanced reactors.

It's a "demonstration" facility. Idaho would never allow actual transuranic fuel recycling in their state.  It's just a pilot test.
