Hello everyone. Quick question what would be the pay rate/hourly for Nuclear Maintenance Electrician with 7 plus experience in the electrical industry mostly commercial and industrial experience? So.Cali area.

Thanks in advance.

It just so happens that Point Beach has posted for eight Maintenance Electricians this week this is the pay scale they list in the posting:

        1       4       $20.79
        2       5       $27.06
        3       6       $27.85
        4       6       $28.65
        5       6       $29.45
        6       6       $30.24
        7       6       $31.04
        8       6       $31.84
        9       6       $32.65
        10      9       $33.44
        99      0       $34.65

Column one is what they call a step
Column two is the number of months to reach the next step
Column three is self explanitory.

It is possible to hire in at higher than step one, it all depends apon your experience.

Hope this helps

Thanks sassycat for that info. Given the cost of living in So. CA. vs WI. it is a pretty sure bet that the scale will be some what higher in CA. At least there is now a point a point of reference ;)

Thanks sassycat.

Pwhoope,
it's nice to see a fellow Bears fan. Been a fan since I was 10 yrs. old, 29 now. Living in So.Cali I can pretty much count how many Bears fan in 1 hand.

You would think so, but sadly it isn't true.  SCE figures that if you want to live in paradise badly enough you'll do it without their help.  A lot of SONGS employees have commuting times of two hours each way so they can afford their housing.
