Name the Nukeworker guy Pt.1
« on: Sep 30, 2002, 09:54 »
Now that Mike has hats, polo shirts, java cups available it would be nice to have a name for the little nukeworker guy in the logo...something like De-Kay or DAC-Man.  Maybe run a contest with the winning "name" being unveiled at the summer convention.

The nominations are open.  The winner will receive a hat, a mug, and free convention tickets.  Not to mention, he will be able to tell EVERYONE he named the little nukeworker guy.

I like "Mike Roe Rem" and later, his wife "Milli Rem" ... Mr & Mrs Rem

hmmm... 'Mike Rem' sure sounds like 'Mike Ren...hack'.

Lets here your comments.  The winner will be given their prize at the convention, along with a certificate, etc.

#8 is for job postings, no?  You must be thinking of #1.

Post to your hearts content here on this subject.

I'll take the 'best' suggestions from this message and put them in a voting machine so we can all vote (once) on our favorite.

During the IRM days I knew a tech that incorporated as a tax shelter. His company name might be good to use. We could call him:

Hyrad Dorchek

Wild...coincidently I once worked with a young man...that now is the proud owner of a terrific nuker based web site... that had the nickname "Skippy".  I don't know how he got the nickname or if he even knew he had the nickname, but that is what people called him.

Unrelated- have you ever looked up the word 'terrific' in the dictionary.  It is defined as exciting or fit to excite; very bad..frightful; extraordinary; and magnificent.  A politcian or member of management must have defined this word.   One word meaning two differet things!  But that can be dicussed on another topic.

The plan was to announce the winner at the Convention next August.  I thought we could keep the nomination open just a little longer.  But if you wish, we can assemble a list, and callit the first round.  Then choose a selection to graduate tot he second round.

No I beleive I have 13 years, seeing that was my last jr. job that would figure. Wasn't that 6 years ago. Anyways I do have some experience, see when other jr.s were sitting on their butts at a control point I was out covering jobs. But I don't know were all this came from. I quess I also have some experience seeing that the companies I work for tend to keep me working 10 months out of the year, and I don't kiss up to  anyone beleive that. Anyways I'm not here to attack anyone. I hope this got me some good karma. Take care. ;)
