Harvey's Impact on South Texas
« on: Aug 28, 2017, 12:29 »
Up to ten feet of flooding expected in downtown Bay City about 12 miles as the bird flies from STP.  Water not expected to reach the site but a lot of workers live in the area.  Everyone should be out by 1300 today with the peak crest expected sometime throughout the night, lasting 3-4 days until ebbing. Below is the only non-facebook link I could find but if you do have Facebook you can follow it via the City of Bay City, TX USA page or the mayor Mark Bricker's page. There are about 200 of us riding it out on site.

Good thing you installed all of that new FLEX equipment.  ERO on hot standby.

We were fortunate enough that conditions changed to spare Bay City from the original projection.  There will still be isolated flooding near the river but nowhere near the original catastrophic prediction.  There's still a lot of damage and people displaced across southeast Texas.
