ANO Lodging

If anyone has lodging information for this facility, please post it here.

The Park Motel offers some nice rooms for a reasonable rate and is very close to ANO.

Or contact  Coldwell Banker real estate in Russellville. She has plenty of decent rentals available there. 479 968 5211
Russellville Inn...just to your right coming from the plant once you cross over Lake Dardanelle.

My wife and I got great help from Barbara at Ford Property Management at 479-968-5158. This was 1 1/2 years ago during the head replacement.

I was just wondering about if there are any worthwhile places to stay in Russellville, Arkansas near Arkansas Nuclear One (ANO)? I'm basically not looking to spend a whole lot, but at the same time I need a good place for me my kids to stay. Any info would be really helpful. :-*

I've done the outage in russellville several times and me and my friends always stay a little place called Park Motel. We stayed at other places, but they weren't as clean, and time/cost efficient. Park Motel is the closest hotel to ANO. It's clean, they have good rates, and they're located in a safe area. It looks a little old from the outside, but the rooms were always well kept up. There are other hotels that might be cheap in Russellville, but trust me don't even waste your time at those places (budget inn, relax hotel, and classic inn). the cheaper hotels in russellville are about 5 miles further and they are packed with druggies and prostitutes.

There's a restaurant close to park motel called italian gardens...really good food and reasonably priced (under $10 or $12). Restaurants like this cost $20 to $30 in the northern states.

I also stayed at and reccomed Park Motel in Russellville. It's a good place for you since you have children (safe area and it's the closest place to ANO). There are horror stories out there at some of the motels and hotels in Russellville. Last time I stayed at the Park Motel, the room had a microwave, fridge, and the housekeepers cleaned our room when I worked (I did the night shift). You basically get most of what you get at one of the big name hotels, but it will cost you significantly less. Are you planning on attending the outage in Russellville in March 2008?

Julie, I too stayed at the Park Motel.. I should say that I stayed there while my husband worked at ANO, and we have two babies.  You should give them a call and see if they have any trailers for rent.  We rented one for less than a typical hotel room.

Now, I did have issues while I was there.. but they were issues that were out of my control... A skunk got under the trailer and sprayed it soooo bad... the smell was in all of our clothes.. we had to wash every stitch of everything we owned.

They then put us in one of the motel rooms.. and it was ok.. not like the trailer with having a kitchen and all.. but it was ok... until the hot water heater broke.

They then transferred us to a small room that they had... thankfully, we were in the small room for only one night, when the layoff came.

So, while I had ups and downs.. I would still recommend calling them.  It's the closest place to the plant and if you can get into one of the trailers, that would be great, especially since you have kids.

Hope it helps.

:o I just finished an outage at ANO-I had stayed at the Park Motel based on the reviews I read here-my only comment is that my Park Motel was in an alternate universe-my single non smoking room was trash-dirty stained carpet, mold and mildew on the bathroom tiles, dust balls along one wall where the airconditioner blew, sagging mattress with sliding mattress cover, broken desk lamp-room cleaned when the hosekeepers showed up-took two days to get the toiletpaper roll holder installed-there was no outage rate-just a flat rack rate-no refund if you get laid off before your week is up-they kept 5 days worth-said it was normal business practice. If you work nites and come in there is no place to park.their rates were NOT the best in town-the ONLY good thing I can say is that it was 7 min to the plant and quiet-I'll never go back nor will I have a kind word about the PARK MOTEL other than RENTER BEWARE.

I am looking to rent a pool house, basement, spare room, small apartment, or RV for the Fall 2015 outage at ANO.
I was told to plan for September 12 to October 10 give or take a couple of days. Not sure if I will be on days or nights yet.
I am 50 y/o non-smoker, not a partier, and will be paying cash for the right place.
If I rent a room I would hope for a private bathroom and kitchen access.

We have a total of 5 rooms for rent. Two rooms come with a full private bathroom. These rooms are in an apartment that we are moving out of but are still under lease on. We have three additional rooms in our new house. All at the house have access to our pool. One has a 1/2 bath in it and a shared bathroom in the hallway. All rooms will rent for $250 a week which includes internet and utilities. All rooms have a queen bed, access to the kitchen and kitchen items. Sheets and towels provided. Please contact me at sunrisedawn35(at)gmail.com if you are interested.
