Karl Oberloh

Karl Oberloh passed away on Saturday, October 21st, while on vacation in Pheonix with his wife.  That's all the info I have for right now.  Karl was a longtime Ops Shift Supervisor at Trojan.  He was another one of the good ones and will be missed all of us who knew and worked with him.  R.I.P. old friend.

Employee Karl Oberloh dies unexpectedly

On Oct. 21, Karl Oberloh, a long-time PGE employee who worked in Transmission & Reliability Support, died unexpectedly at the age of 52. He experienced a heart attack while vacationing with family in Arizona.

Oberloh worked 26 years for PGE. Since 2003, he served as a control area operator at the System Control Center. But he spent most of his PGE years at the Trojan Plant. When he joined PGE in 1980, he started work as an entry-level operator and later was promoted to shift manager.

"Karl was a key member of the Trojan Operations staff. He worked with us through all the plant's phases from power operation to plant shutdown, and then stayed on to help with the transition to dry fuel storage," says Steve Nichols, general manager, Trojan Decommissioning & Hydro Operations. "He will be greatly missed by his Trojan friends."

We are plain quiet folk and have no use for adventures. Nasty disturbing uncomfortable things! Make you late for dinner! I can’t think what anybody sees in them.      - B. Baggins

Just came across my Dad's name on this site (yes, I do Google weird things once in awhile when I'm at work!!).  I would love to hear from anyone who knew my dad, he was a good man and we miss him lots!
