Anyone have the name of any vendors who have shielded source storage boxes. I need one about 12X6X6. Shielding doesn't need to be too thick, 1/8 inch steel or lead would suffice.
-
Phurst, What sources are you shielding? There may be a difference in cost dependent upon construction materials, lead vs. steel. Are these measurements in inches?
-
Cs and Th. Small check sources. Yes, inches.

Sounds like steel is the applicable material for this. Let me know if you think otherwise. I'm checking with some suppliers now, I'll let you know what I find.

Try Biodex they have various sizes.

Close but no cigar. Thanks for posting though and a karma to ya.

Phurst, Check with Analytics, Inc. @ 404 352 8677. My man at Coastal Network, Inc says that Analytics has what you are seeking.
-
Are you needing a storage box that will meet DOT specs or just a shielded box to keep your sources in?
If you just need to keep sources that size, look at some of the fireproof cabinets you can buy at an office supply. I've found, for a lot of uses, just the wall thickness gives enough shielding reasonable curie contents.
