Title: Transition to Excelon security
Post by: Racknspur on Jan 30, 2014, 03:38
Hi. Can anyone tell me what to expect as our plant in NY transitions to Excelon? I'm an Alarm Station operator, union. What tendencies does Excelon have when they take over? Subtitle, extreme, fast or slow? What kind of money do leads make? How is overtime payed, benefits, vacation ect. Any help is appreciated as some of us are on pins and needles. Thanks!

I don't know how many people will be able to help you out on this one. I'm no expert when it comes to anything related to Exelon and how they work. I'm also no expert on union contracts even though my grandfather was a PF-W by trade and was the BA for his local for 25+ years.. I would think your labor agreement would still stand until there were new negotiations. I think this question would be better suited for someone in your union personally.

Maybe someone around here will be in more of the know. Just thought I would throw my 2 cents in but again, I'm no expert.. lol.

Good luck!

Check your spelling.  When I worked for them (not security), their name was spelled differently.
