Title: Bad links in news feeds
Post by: Ksheed on Apr 30, 2015, 01:44
A couple of different times this week I have clicked on a News link and have been incorrectly directed to the NRC's event page. The latest was on the $200 million for Chernobyl link.

Weird.  I'll monitor it and see if I can figure it out.  It's an automated process so I'm not sure if there is anything I can do.

Is it always the top item on the list?  It seems to be the only one that is wacky at the moment.

You know, now that you say that, I believe that was the case a couple days ago. Top link sent you to the NRC webpage. That's odd.

Always the top but not always all the time.

I forced the script to refresh itself.  THAT link is no longer at the top, and is no longer in error.  The current top is also correct.

Weird bug.

When it happens, just update this thread, it will be interesting to see if its always a NRC status event that mess it up, or if there are any other traceable consistencies.

I added a half-dozen new news sources to the front page news feed.

I see the Platts article is duplicated.  Please keep an eye on that, and if you see a lot more duplicates, I will delete the Platts source.

When I looked, that link was # 9 onthe page, and the link worked fine.

It appears to be bouncing back and forth between the top link and second link. When you hover over them the pop-up text box states Region 4 .....

It appears to be happening daily on a random basis.
