Title: Bruce Mann
Post by: Wojo on Dec 08, 2015, 03:21
All, I was just informed that Bruce Mann passed away last Saturday.  He was battling cancer for over a year.  Bruce was literally one of the smartest men that I have met in my life.  I will miss his intelligence, insight, dry wit and humor.  He taught me a lot during the many times we worked together.  Bruce Mann, truly one of the best.  You will be missed.

Bruce will certainly be missed!  He was one who never let his brilliance get in the way of 'common sense'.  He worked together twice, over the years.  He was on about whom I could really say, 'a pleasure as usual'!

A beautiful mind...and a true mentor. I had the pleasure of editing and publishing his Decommissioning Plan through five preliminary revisions until it reached Rev.0....and I (only half jokingly) described him as the "Hemingway of technical writers." Five pages of his writing weighed about seven pounds!
:)

I still find myself summoning his mental clarity in those moments when I must write, and nothing seems to be coming....he truly had a crystalline intelligence, a warm human heart, and an earthy wisdom.

Bruce, I thank you for the light you shone.....always.
My condolences to his loved ones.

Dennis

I wrote a major part of the Decommissioning Plan for TMI in the early 80s and had the pleasure of getting to know Bruce.  A brilliant person and even tempered as well.  We are losing so many people now, I can't hardly stay up with it.  leon.mcclung@fbports.com
