Recently I began working lower level management jobs for Nuclear outage work.
The first company said I did well and expressly said they would bring me back at some point though not guaranteed and still pending.
From the second company I received a very good (almost perfect)performance review upon leaving and eligible for rehire. It seemed likely they would be sending me out again.
The second company has since been desperately hiring in my position. When I inquire about work I get no explanation on the lack of assignment and get different answers from how I was originally told the way work is assigned.
I thought I left on good terms but apparently not. I'm at a loss because I can't fix something I didn't know was broken.
Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
