I was fired from my last Nuclear Plant. Will that affect my Access to the next Nuclear Plant? It has been less than 5 years.
-
Depends on what you were fired for.
-
For some insight, I was fired from my job at a nuke plant and it had no impact on my ability to get access elsewhere. Although I was fired as part of a downsizing.
-
If I were you I would contact the Plant Access Dept. of the nuke plant and asked if you have an "Unfavorable" from them after they stopped your employment there.
-
Were you fired for cause, or were you laid off?
-
yeah as tagline says it matter what you were fired for.
-
I was fired as part of a downsizing.
You don't get fired for downsizing. You get laid off for downsizing. You get fired for ... not doing what they want.

Semantics. They didn't want me there and gave me over $20k to not be there and since I didn't want me there either, I accepted.

If you got a payout then you should be able to go anywhere. I took a severance package from a plant in the 90s and continued working as a contractor and got hired by a utility.
