Title: Retirement Age and You
Post by: Camella Black on Sep 08, 2009, 10:02
Are you retired from the nuke industry? If so, do you plan to stay that way or have you begun working small jobs/outages?

If you are not retired, do you plan to do so?

I am retiring January 17, 2047 whether I can afford it or not. I refuse to work after I turn 90 on Jan. 18, 2047.

You'll beat me to 90 by about 10 months...geezer..  ;)
I hope to retire when my last is through college - somewhere around 2025..... 8)

I plan on switching jobs within the next few years and take my retirement benefits and pension.  I will switch to a less stressful job working fulltime for myself and part time for whoever will hire me.

Retire?  Thanks to two divorces and an unfriendly stock market, I'll be working until I die.  There are some who might say they wouldn't know the difference. ;D

In the Heyday of Rent-A-Tech work, my family thought I was retired with every summer off and lots of Rad-Toys to play with. (I miss those days, gone forever) Now I'll have to wait till the Stock Market returns what it stole from my IRAs & 401K and other Stock values--(One went from $64/share to $3.47/share) On the other hand when all my Gold, Silver, & jewels peak out, I'll cash in and move into that refridgerator box under the overpass I've had my eye on!

Was hoping to retire at the grand old age of 62, just over 20yrs from now, but alas by adding another ex-wife I am now re-calculating :o May just have them set aside a plot of ground here to bury me on site LOL. ;D

I've been lucky, many exes, none took me to the cleaners. I guess if you marry true ladies, they act well when you split also... :D

Again, lucky. Wife has a better job than me.... ;)

Gee, with 2 girls in the house, looks like retirement is gonna take till, like..... death... :'(
But I wouldn't trade either of them for anything.... well, maybe a good huntin dog, or a boat... or a lead on a good fishing hole... maybe a cigar and a beer.... nah. gotta keep 'em.  8)
