one kilogram of H2 replaces one gallon of gasoline

1 kg of H2 consumes 11 liters of fresh water during production

11 liters of fresh water is about 3 gallons

369 million gallons of gasoline per day (used in the USA) >>> 369 million kg of H2 per day >>> 1.1 billion gallons of fresh water per day

there are 128 trillion gallons of somewhat fresh water in Lake Erie

Lake Erie will last us 116,364 days (aka 319 years),....

well, the math works,..... :P :) ;) 8)

but then 1.1 billion gallons of fresh water will be returned as water vapor from emissions (captured by ground vegetation/soil) per day.  It just might not all make it back to the Lake Erie.
