Title: Search Function for non members
Post by: Camella Black on Mar 07, 2009, 12:18
Is there a way to make the search function available to non-members? This issue has been brought up on the Navy board and has caused a slight ripple there. I myself logged out and attempted to perform a search and was not able to.

We have purposefully chosen to not allow non-members to use the search function.  They need to login to use the search function.

When you get a chance, please direct me to the thread in the Navy board you are referring to.

The Forum powered search is only accessible to registered members.  However, the Google powered site search on the home page is accessible to everyone, and it covers the forum as well as the rest of the site.
