Title: Would I should I could I?
Post by: ezgon17 on May 30, 2007, 04:32
Hello to all. I am an industrial supplier by trade. One of my customers manufactures Homeland Defense products that have to do with nuclear technology. Hence it's classified. Anyways I am interested in expanding my business in this area. There is a uranium enrichment facility in my general area. I would like to know if there is a type of clearance I could get that would make it easier to do business with them? Anything they may like to see from a potiential supplier? We are a small 8A SDB company and would appreciate a leg up. Thanks!

I suggest that you contact them directly and ask.

off the top of my head, i can't think of this clearance.  your customer will give you all the clearance you are needed to do business with them.  they'll do face time on their site, your site, or a restaurant in between as long as you're buying.  they'll give descriptions of what they need so you can supply it.  as far as nuclear technology prowess is concerned, if that be your anticipated need for doing business, i'd suggest hiring someone with degrees in the field and contacts in the business.  recent retirees from the client of concern are an excellent trolling ground for prospects.
