Why would I celebrate a Mexican military victory over the French, oh wait there is drinking involved just like St Patty's day  :P

Well, there are two fun facts about May 4th in history.

1. Rhode Island's General Assembly impatiently voted to secede from Britain on May 4th, 1776, not waiting for the Continental Congress announcement.

2. For skimmers, there is the anniversary of the start of the Battle of the Coral Sea, May 4, 1942. Not a good week to be on the Lexington or Shoho
