how do you know if a plant pays per diem?
-
1. Ask the utility.
2. Ask the company offering you a job.
3. Ask a psychic.
Ignore #1, and #3. The correct response is #2.
Good Luck ;)

normally if you are working a job site more then 50 miles from your home of residence you will get per diem. unless you agree to a job assignment with out it, you cant ask for it after you get there so make sure they are offering as part of your assignment

Unless you are in Southern Ohio or Tennessee, you will probably be getting per diem....;)

My psychic said "No Diem, no see-em"

Diem at San Onofre for the September SGR is $140/d. And no-cost onsite RV camping available.

And no-cost onsite RV camping available.
With lovely views of Camp Pendleton on 3 sides ( can you say 11-bravo, Semper Fi, ooooooRAH ), occasional manmade thunder from arty practice, and there are mountain lions (http://members.virtualtourist.com/m/8ed8f/b8705/8/) on the Mesa, so don't let Fluffy out toooo long at night!

New deal, Mutant Bro. All new leadership at SONGS. RP with SGR experience has priority access to full hookups.
-
Correct on San Onofre free onsite camping. I read about it on Bartlett's site, and confirmed with a friend working there. Full hookups, walk to beach, showers, laundry, free. Just expanded to attract SGR workers, including RP travelers.

Is per diem paid 7 days a week, even on off days?
-
7 days diem for 5 days worked, as is the custom generally.
-
At Diablo we had SO many sick guys coming to work to avoid loss of per diem. Gunge everywhere.
