???
There is the NRRPT certification. - Certificate provided
There is the NEU examination used by utilities. - Electronic
There is a DOE RCT Core academics certification. - Certificate / Badge provided
There are 108 qualifications.
Heck, there are probably others out there, that I am unaware of.

None of the above mentioned "quals" have an time value associated with it.

For what entity are you looking to work for?  NRC, DOE, DOD, State, University?

Perhaps you are looking for 40 hour HAZWOPER certification?

Please provide additional info in order to better provide you with a correct response.

It is typically required for radiograhpers and users of fixed and portable gauges (all examples of folks using using sealed sources) to attend some form of training.  The extent is typically dictated on the users materials license.  It seems your potential employer would send you to this training.......but oh well.

Try Ohmartvega in Cininnati, OH.  And I think Dave Warren was looking for a 40 hour course a while back, try doing a search of his posts or for 40 hour courses.
