I was hired for an SRO job out of the NAVY and have an NJP for playing a computer game at work. I was honest about it on my PHQ, is this a big deal???
-
Doubtful. But it depends. How long ago was it?

Nah it shouldn't affect you at all.

it happened about a year ago..

As long as you were honest like you say then I wouldn't sweat it. I am assuming of course that you were place out under honorable conditions.
-
yeah it was honorable
-
Naw you are fine. I only asked because a friend of mine got hired as an AO at a plant, disclosed an NJP for DUI that happened like 30 days before he got out, and the plant subsequently told him to look elsewhere.

Hey, I'm awaiting a background check to clear for the NRC & PHQ. I don't have any felonies or misdemeanors however I saw the PHQ checks your credit, I been having some credit issues for quite some time and trying to catch up on bills. I stated this is the PHQ. Can i be disqualified for late payments . I also had my Dr license suspened due to fail payment of tickets but I took care of this before submitting my background check.. I'm really nervous being that I suppose to start working next week without knowing I clear that unescorted access yet, and the nuclear plant is out of state..

Plenty of people with bad credit working in the industry. Bigger issue would be if you have outstanding debt that you are not currently addressing through some type of debt consolidation program and making payments on.

Is student loans consider to be debt if not i should be good, i had some items recently i just couldn't afford to pay.. so they sitting there until i get the extra funds. Thing is this current job will help me get back on path however i don't know if they will penalize me for it.. and how far does the unescorted access go back my worksheet didn't say 5 years or 10 years it just stated since 18years of age or last unescorted access

A credit check will show all past and present lines of credit you have been provided, which should include student loans. I'm not sure how far back the credit report will go, 7-10 years maybe? You can check your own credit for free, I'm sure you've seen the commercials. Any delinquent accounts that you are not currently making payments on will look bad, not sure if it will effect your ability to gain access. I'd highly recommend contacting the lender and setting up a payment plan or a debt consolidation loan of some sort. At least that will show that you are working to resolve it. The plant you are applying to may very well request you do so prior to granting you access.
Since your request would be an Initial Access, I believe that the background is 5 years or until you were 18. I could be wrong on that, it's been a long time since I filled out an Initial PHQ.
