Title: Hello
Post by: BubbaGump on Jul 29, 2010, 09:31
Hi all.  After a 4 month hiring process, getting chosen out of a pool of several hundred individuals, several interviews, tests, checks etc., I've been hired.  You guys have a lot of really good information on this website, which has helped me through the whole process.  Even if some of you have displayed you're no longer interested in helping newcomers, I'm glad I can read your posts from a previous time.  The couple of questions I've asked on here have always been answered within the first couple hours.  Thanks again guys.

Thank you.  I would like to thank my wife for putting up with me through all of it.  Honestly I'm nervous as hell.  It's an entry-level position but I have no idea about the daily operations of a nuclear plant.  I've decided my game plan will be this:
Work my ass off, don't go in thinking I'm going to learn everything in a couple years or even 10, and don't carry a chip on my shoulder.

Sounds like a good plan.  Welcome to the wonderful world of nuclear power. Have fun and good luck!!!
