Title: How to Get in Fall/Spring Outages ~ Will do any kind of work
Post by: DANIEL CLARK on Oct 10, 2010, 11:23
I need advice on how to get started working outages. I have 10+ years of industrial maintenance experience. I work on anything and everything. I do lots of different things at my job that I am sure could qualify me for at least something in this industry.  I really want a job I can move up in. I have a clean record. I am a hard worker and very dedicated. I want to travel and work outages. I live about 20 miles from Arkansas Nuclear One, but they are not hiring.
??? So I guess my questions are....
What is the most likely entry level job I could get into? Does anyone know approximately the starting pay? What companies or who would most likely (eventually) hire a determined newbie? And should I be the one calling a recruiter and how often?
I have posted my resume here, Bartlet, Entergy, jobsonline, westinghouse, and Nukesquad. And I am trying to contact a guy at Laborers Local 107; he is supposed to be a union guy that can put you on a list.
Thank You for your time in reading this and for any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated.
