Title: Looking for good Used Instrumentation
Post by: tntplayer on Oct 28, 2010, 02:46
We are interested in purchasing some "lightly" used radiation detection instruments.  Especially a 3030 or 2929 with simultaneous alpha/beta counting and a Personnel Contamination Monitor (PCM).  We are also looking for ludlum model 19's, 3's, C14's, etc.  Anyone with any information would be appreciated... ;)

I've had pretty good luck working thru our calibration services company to pick up a few "lightly used" instruments when we needed them.  They always have spare parts and instruments picked up from here and there that they're willing to sell for a decent discount.  Ask around the different calibration/repair companies.  Wayne Biship over at RSCS (wbishop@radsafety.com) is who I worked with.  I just gave him a list of instruments and probes I wanted and why and he did a great job putting it all together.  Good luck. :)
