Title: SRO License #2
Post by: Higgs on Oct 03, 2012, 01:37
Whelp,

Just finished and passed my PWR written exam, "unofficially" until the NRC says so, of course.

However, with the score I achieved, and barring any unforeseen issues in the simulator or JPMs, I should be getting my PWR license!

w00t!

3 looper.

Thanks all!

Now we have to get you on a gas-cooled unit in the UK, so BZ has to come to YOU for checkouts ;)

Hey if it involved working in the UK I could do it!

Couldn't handle a 4 Loop? :)

Hahaha nope, those extra rods and EOPs would have been too much. ;D

Don't 3 Loops have the same number of EOPs?

I always joke operating PWRs is so easy I had to go to a 2 Unit site to make up for the single unit BWR I left. :)

Well, I'm assuming not since my station gave us a practice test borrowed from another plant (a 4 looper), and they didn't correct all the differences, including references to ES-0.6. We don't have that. ;D

Haha yeah, even after the test, there is still a BWR/PWR rivalry with me here. All in good fun!

Plus we have a lot of EAs (Simplified instructions on how to restore systems)

Question: After an SI you stay in E-0. How do you verify actuations of safety systems and containment isolation? Is it an imbedded step? Or some other document?

Also forgot FR.0 Critical Safety Function Status Trees.

There is a step to perform attachment A-0.11 in timely manner, which is verification of automatic actions. That comes after verifying SI, AFW, and the prz isolated, and before the other diagnostic steps.
