Title: Father was a HP Tech, anyone recognize him?
Post by: matthew7899 on Feb 28, 2015, 09:01
His name was Michael "Moon" McMullin.  I've attached a picture and his resume, showing his work history.

Looking back at old documents and wanted to see if anyone on here worked with him back in the day.

I remember his name, don't remember him personally (different shifts?).   Looking at resume we would have been at the same sites at Rancho Seco in 1980 and San Onofre in 1985.    We just missed, DAEC 1978 and Trojan in 1981.

I knew he did contract work, but didn't realize just how much until reviewing his old resume.

I work at Sequoyah and wonder how many people I work with today worked with him back then and don't realize it.

I worked with Moon and spent a lot of out of time work with him as a friend in 79-80 at TMI.  Watched a few football games with him and heard a lot of his stories...  He was a good friend.  After many years, he called me and we talked not too long before he passed away...

As x6655 said, I recognize the name. We would have been at the Limerick outage in '87.
BTW, Limerick would have PECO back then, not PP&L.

Anything to pass along?  I was a junior in HS when he passed and I'm interested in hearing any stories...here or via pm.

Thanks!

I was at SONGS and Catawba at those times and I remember the name. I was busy keeping up with the future ex-wife though. Don't have any memories of him. Sorry.

Sloglo,  Shouldn't that be "A boiler by any other name still leaks the same?" ;)

Knew Moon from CY, SONGs, and MIllstone. Good man.
