Title: FENOC I&C Entry Exam
Post by: Wasmer on Jul 24, 2015, 01:13
Hello,

I'm testing next week for an I&C Tech Apprentice with First Energy. Before I can take the MASS / POSS C, I have to first pass an I&C Entry Exam. I was hoping someone in here would be familiar with it and could tell me what to expect. Thanks in advance!

Try the search function or contact (PM) UncaBuffalo!  He is (or should be) the SME on I&C.

He has posted a lot of information on I&C entry testing!

I do not know anything specific about the FENOC test, but if I was taking an apprentice test, I would:

1. Talk to the plant and ask what areas were tested.
and/or
2. Brush up on my electronics.

What were the requirements for being invited to test? If they were asking for a certain background, that should give you a hint as to what they will be testing.

We have talked about this a bit in https://www.nukeworker.com/forum/index.php/topic,14986.0.html but most of the thread is aimed at previously qualified techs.

Good luck! And let us know how it turns out.  :)
