Title: questions regarding the background check for a nuclear operator
Post by: slider1985 on Mar 08, 2016, 02:51
I would like to apply to become a nuclear operator at a nearby power plant. I have a clean civilian record. I got it some trouble while in the Navy and went to captains mast. I was knocked down. It was a njp and I served 2 more years with no problems, made my rank back , and recieved a honorable discharge. I got the OJT for going our drinking on deployment. Will this hurt my chances of getting a operator job? Should I disclose this information in the initial background check? Thanks for any guidance.

You HAVE to disclose the information. Its better to disclose than to have them find out during the investigation. In truth it shouldn't hurt your chances.
