Title: New Forum Software
Post by: Rennhack on Apr 22, 2016, 06:29
Welcome to the new forum software.
Some of the new features:
It has a WYSIWYG editor, which behaves like Microsoft word.  For example; You can bold text, and it looks bold on the screen.  Use short cut keys, like CTRL+Z to undo mistakes, etc.
You can Ignore people. (Like Rerun)
You can Ignore boards (Like the navy boards, if you are not interested in the Navy)
We can now give users gentle 'warnings', and moderate users. (Like Rerun)
Better anti-spam features
Improved Buddy list (and new ignore list)
Rules can be created to automatically sort incoming personal messages
Display Personal messages all at once, one at a time and as a conversation

That's the good news.  The bad news is that it broke the quiz software.  the quiz software may not be fixed ever.  I have to find a programmer that is wiling to work on it (for the limited funds we have available).

What do YOU think of the new software?

The quick reply was actually in the old software, but I didn't enable it by default for all users.  They had to go into their user settings and turn it on/off.  I have had it on for myself for the last 10 years.  I figured I'd set it to on by default this time around.
