Now that Mike has hats, polo shirts, java cups available it would be nice to have a name for the little nukeworker guy in the logo...something like De-Kay or DAC-Man. Maybe run a contest with the winning "name" being unveiled at the summer convention.
-
How about D.K. per Diem? I think he's French. :D
-
The nominations are open. The winner will receive a hat, a mug, and free convention tickets. Not to mention, he will be able to tell EVERYONE he named the little nukeworker guy.
I like "Mike Roe Rem" and later, his wife "Milli Rem" ... Mr & Mrs Rem
hmmm... 'Mike Rem' sure sounds like 'Mike Ren...hack'.
Lets here your comments. The winner will be given their prize at the convention, along with a certificate, etc.
-
mike, before i run afoul of rule 8 (again), do we reply here, on this thread, or where. also, are we limited to one suggestion, or are multiple entries allowed?
-
#8 is for job postings, no? You must be thinking of #1.
Post to your hearts content here on this subject.
I'll take the 'best' suggestions from this message and put them in a voting machine so we can all vote (once) on our favorite.

I am liking the Duke nukeworker one. It could be shortened to Dukenuker (woo hoo).
Technician A might be a good one - most of us have been that at least once.
-
During the IRM days I knew a tech that incorporated as a tax shelter. His company name might be good to use. We could call him:
Hyrad Dorchek
You might have to say it out loud to get it. Maybe you had to be there...
-
Slo-Glo, LOL at the "canned ham" reference! ;)
-
Had a dream last night! The little guy is called:
RAD RANGER ;D
-
i thinki my dream was more fun..... she's called Rad Rangette ;D

A few can relate to this, how about: "Ima Whiner"....only the guilty will take offense.
-
How about:
Duff-Man...Oh..Yeah! :-*
-
I always thought his name was Max Shielding. He was trained by Noah Mo Dohse.
-
SloGlo - I have to admit that I knew a few Rad Rangerette's in my day. ;) :-X I still vote for "RAD RANGER" This moniker has class and style to it. It is also gender neutral.

Uh....let's see.....
[shadow=red,left,300]nukeWORKER[/shadow]
:P
-
Wild...coincidently I once worked with a young man...that now is the proud owner of a terrific nuker based web site... that had the nickname "Skippy". I don't know how he got the nickname or if he even knew he had the nickname, but that is what people called him.
Unrelated- have you ever looked up the word 'terrific' in the dictionary. It is defined as exciting or fit to excite; very bad..frightful; extraordinary; and magnificent. A politcian or member of management must have defined this word. One word meaning two differet things! But that can be dicussed on another topic.
-
I sure hope that's the doc's twisted sence of humor showing though ::)
-
Sounds like Dr.Dan likes Dr. Dan 8) 8)
I kinda like Cutie Pie... ;) ;) Gender Neutral.
P.I. Chambers.
RO3C-PO...see Cutie Pie.

:D
Or:
-Hugo Furst
::)
-
Hugo Furst - I love it!
-
Noticed that since the "NukeWorker Guy's" bubblehood airline is not hooked up to anything, call him...Herr Reichs Marshall.
-
On the subject of names for the little guy.....Think long think wrong.... ;Djust look at him,,,,looks like the Bud man from the 70's only in a plastic dribble proof suit. (for your protection of course) ;D
-
When I think of Bud Man from the 70's it has nothing to do with beer.
-
The man with the can.
-

Hi-Rad Hercules
Brutus (Et Tu Brute?)
Peppe

Ok, Time is up for the moderators to post an Offical Name the 8) 8) 8) "RAD RANGER" 8) 8) 8) List for the dud, dudette in the bubble suit. How about it guys?
-
The plan was to announce the winner at the Convention next August. I thought we could keep the nomination open just a little longer. But if you wish, we can assemble a list, and callit the first round. Then choose a selection to graduate tot he second round.
-
The Masses are getting restless...maybe we should do 2 or 3 "elimination" rounds...names are easier to pick from if there in a compiled list where you can read them together.
we have a little time till Aug. 2003 ;D
-
Let The submissions resume...
-

No I beleive I have 13 years, seeing that was my last jr. job that would figure. Wasn't that 6 years ago. Anyways I do have some experience, see when other jr.s were sitting on their butts at a control point I was out covering jobs. But I don't know were all this came from. I quess I also have some experience seeing that the companies I work for tend to keep me working 10 months out of the year, and I don't kiss up to anyone beleive that. Anyways I'm not here to attack anyone. I hope this got me some good karma. Take care. ;)
