Many facilities pay some sort of premium for NRRPT cert. Well worth it. And well done!
-
Value? I'm not sure what you want to know, but in my experience, it usually gives me a little extra in my pay check, it has opened the door into some plants that wouldn't have been opened without it, and it usually gets me out of taking the NUF/NEU exam at most plants.
-
AMWTP currently give $2/hr if you have the NRRPT.
-
Hopefully it will make you a some extra. I think that it is a good thing to do even without financial reasons. Congrats to you both

In my experience, the NRRPT saved me from having to take the NUF or Core tests. It usually topped me out in pay for outages, made my resume more attractive for jobs, and it opened the door for higher paid, more professional jobs.
Congratulations you guys

mebbe an udder weigh two look at nrrpt value is outside of da cash box. how much of yer demonstrated knowledge is utilized by a position yinz work in at an outage, or doe site? in udder werds, are ya swinging a meter or jockeying a paper pile, err putting up wit morons like me in training?
