Title: What is ESPPOT? Need to know ASAP!
Post by: DipDog3 on Aug 14, 2007, 12:21
Does anyone know what ESPPOT is?

A job posting of an engineering position has the requirement of
"Completion of ESPPOT in lieu of EIT"

I have searched Google, but ESPPOT turns up NOTHING!

Please help ASAP!

Performs tests and inspections of material, equipment, and/or processes. ... PE registration required, can complete ESPPOT, SRO or SROC in lieu of PE.

Here is a quote from my employer on a recent ad:

QuoteMust complete (utility) Engineer Support Personnel training program within two years from initial appointment to position (or date specified by mgt.)

Sounds like the same thing. Most utilities handle it with a class similar to SRO Certification.
