Any one know anything about the new carrier called the george bush? i believe it is going to be deployed this year or next. does anyone know if it will be east coast or west coast?

I have it from a friend in the know that they are trying to move commissioning up to 2008 so that GWB can actually commission the ship that bears his dad's name while still in office.

Of course, the ship won't be ready, so it would be towed to Norfolk, commissioned, and towed back.

Also, it is an projected to be an East Coast asset, and many are speculating that Mayport might get it to replace the JFK once all the upgrades and such are made to the facilities there.
