Title: Since I'm having trouble...
Post by: Pezzle on May 20, 2008, 07:39
No calls back or anything but I'm told Bartlett doesn't take nubs until the Fall.

I am wondering, since I'm really thinking about doing this, will the military help me get into the nuclear industry? Not the navy program, but the 74D MOS in the Army and ARNG, CBRN Specialist. It's a lot of decon work.

no need to go military, just to get into the nuclear industry. unless you feel you really want to offer your service to your country. no lots of folks are prior navy nuke etc. but then lots of us ( myself included ) have no military nuclear experience in order to get in the industry. my advice is to keep calling the staffing companies such as bartlett, atlantic group, ice solv etc and something will open up for the fall. good luck in your quest.

Oh no, sorry if it was misunderstood. I want to go to the military pretty badly! I do very much want to serve my country. I was just wondering how 74D would translate to the real world. I didn't want to pick an MOS that I would never use again.. and I do love everything CBRN!
