Title: How to dress for the tests.
Post by: fxplorrollin on Jul 07, 2008, 11:16
Hello all,

I know the topic of attire has been brought up before, however DTE seems to do all the testing and possible interviews on the same day. I am scheduled to test in a few days, POSS and PAT, and I really don't know how to dress. With the physical abilities test being on the same day I would think I'd have to dress down a bit. If you pass testing however, an interview may follow. Does anyone have any idea what the PAT will be like? Or perhaps, does anyone know if there will be time to change in between?

Dockers, tan, pleated
Shirt, buttoned, blue. T-shirt underneath. Extra deodorant.
tie, striped, red / blue
Blazer, Navy
Shoes, brown, comfortable, business casual
Wear it all in....take off the coat / tie, maybe the buttoned shirt for the PAT, put it back on for the interview.

Just a suggestion.... ;)

Take it from someone who knows DTE.
A nice dress shirt and slacks will be more than enough.

House Dad............ excellent advice.  :)

The compnay paid for a group of young adults to go to college for two years and intern here .............. I have to say I know of one that really isn't interested in securing a full time position............... T-shirts with statements about managements stupidity, bite me etc type shirts.......  :(

Dress above the job you're applying for but not too much above....................show you cared enough to think about it and you just didn't roll out of bed even if you did.
