Hello all-
My son graduated from Great Lakes last Friday (8/1), shipped out to Goose Creek on Sunday (8/3). He is presently 1 week into ET "A" school at NNPTC (I think they call the first week Indoc).
While he was in the DEP program, a CPO (Recruiter) visited his recruiting station and told my wife that if he was picked to go to the Academy that he wouldn't have to go all 4 years if he finished NPS and already had some college credits.
Has anyone heard of this?
Thanks...

That would be something new....Too my knowledge, only one person ever entered USNA as an advanced student and that was a long time ago. All others started as Plebes and went at 4 years.

That is a new one on me. I have not heard of that one. If there were any truth in it, I would think that information would spread like wildfire. Good luck.

Excerpt from the USNA website....

Do you accept transfer students?
Yes and no. We do accept students from other colleges as long as they meet our age requirements, but they still have to attend the Academy for four years.

recruiter is wrong. I have 2 friends that FINISHED the pipeline, and they both still have to do 4 years. 1 of my friends had ~50 credits and had a college kicker bonus.
