Title: Maximum Waivers
Post by: Hopeful101 on Apr 06, 2009, 11:10
I am hopeful to getting into the NAVY, however, I have been waiting 2 weeks for 5 waivers.  One medical waiver from a surgery when I was 8, 1 for a tattoo, and 3 for misdemeanors (the last one was almost 3 years ago).  What are my chances of getting in?  My ASVAB score was 85 and I am in great health.  I still have hope but should I just forget about this and go to college?  This has taken up a lot of my time and the setbacks are very frustrating since I have been anticipating this for a while now.

Go back to school and work on developing more patience.  8)

Don't sweat it!  You don't even have enough waivers to require a waiver for having too many waivers.   :P     ;D

Patience is key though since you're joining the military.  Have you ever heard the term "hurry up and wait"?  If not, get used to it! What are you going to do if they tell you that you're shipping out next year, or this winter?

Or your West Pac gets extended to 10 months long while you are underway?

No drug or alcohol waivers? Sheesh, slacker.  :P You will be fine. Just wait.
