Title: Bringing back CGNs?
Post by: Preciousblue1965 on Aug 08, 2009, 10:23
Found this on Navy Times.

Makes for an interesting read.  Heck I might even allow myself about 10 minutes to consider the possibility of imagining going back into the Nav just to serve on a CGN.

If you want to read the study referenced in the Navy Times article....

use this link  http://legacy.sname.org/AM2007/papers/D39.pdf (http:// http://legacy.sname.org/AM2007/papers/D39.pdf)

FYI....I've been in the navy since the nuclear cruiser days.  I never served on one, but my friends tell me that the duty rotation and op-schedule was worse then being on a fast attack submarine.  So, PB might want to re-consider wanting to return to serve on one.
Cheers,
GC

True, of course the love in the Navy usually involved other snide comments and maybe even some duct tape.

I think that's how we show our love for each other in this industry. Friday I had an issue with my shoulder at work and had to leave rather rapidly. My guys already have a nickname for me :) GAWD I love them!

I'm sure this will happen shortly after they merge all the rates and things actually do get better after ORSE.
