Does anyone know if Decon time is counted toward your JR HP time? And if so how is that calculated?

It all depends on the site and thier individual technical qualifications for Health Physics.  Some sites will grant up to 12 mo's of meter qualified decon time towards HP, some 6, some 3, some wont credit any.  Some will give you credit w/out the meter quals, others only if you have them.  Some do it on a 1:2 basis to a certain cap, i.e. 1:2 up to 6 mo's max.  Since we service all of these various sites with thier varied criteria, we have to go conservative in our qual process by granting only 3 mo's fro meter qual. decon towards HP unless we have letters of documentation on file.  We will however adapt an individuals qualification record to reflect the individual site's qual criteria.
