I'm a Navy Nuke LT, getting out soon, that has been given the chance to interview with Exelon next week and couldn't help but notice that their starting salary + bonuses are significantly higher (30-40k depending on the plant) than a couple other places I have spoken with. I read the previous post concerning the differences in pay and was curious, what additional work is required at this company for SRO's? Is it extra hours, extra duty? I honestly don't mind extra work while on shift, it helps the time go by, but if it's working double the hours then that could be a reason for pause. Does anyone have any insight into this? I appreciate the help.
No, not extra time while you are on shift. Extra admin responsibilities on shift. When on an off shift job, extra time is expected.
Thanks, that's good to hear.
If you'd like a more detailed response, as I am a forme Exelon SRO, feel free to PM me.
justin pm me the extra duties as I have been contacted by exelon myself concerning an SRO position and i am curious what they consider to be extra compared to my current employer
