Title: Upcoming Interview
Post by: Sivryn on Jan 04, 2011, 10:52
I'm a Navy Nuke LT, getting out soon, that has been given the chance to interview with Exelon next week and couldn't help but notice that their starting salary + bonuses are significantly higher (30-40k depending on the plant) than a couple other places I have spoken with.  I read the previous post concerning the differences in pay and was curious, what additional work is required at this company for SRO's?  Is it extra hours, extra duty?  I honestly don't mind extra work while on shift, it helps the time go by, but if it's working double the hours then that could be a reason for pause.  Does anyone have any insight into this?  I appreciate the help.

No, not extra time while you are on shift. Extra admin responsibilities on shift. When on an off shift job, extra time is expected.
