The White House announced today that First Lady Michelle Obama will sponsor the USS Illinois, the first all female submarine force. The newest submarine "is expected to join the fleet in late 2015," according to the White House.
Many questions regarding this little phrase come to mind. How about you fellow submariners and your thoughts.

The article didn't say ALL female.
as a wise officer and gentleman pointed out years ago, it would take more than a decade to grow the department heads, XO and CO. This is simply the start of that decade

p.s. being as how it is the USS Illinois, I expect their main problems to be welded to the pier, and lots of missing funds [whistle]
